I've owned a 2004 DRZ400S and I currently ride a 2004 KTM 450 EXC. I sold the DRZ because it was more street than dirt. The KTM has a wide ratio transmission that is the envy of the industry. I kinda of go in between and change the oil every 2-3 rides depending how tough/fast they are which is 5-8 hours for me. And I change the oil filter every other oil change.
